Christmas Day 2022 was spent playing with ink and woodstain, for the first two new Environs of the year (of the last two years, actually). It was a lovely, cozy day spent by the fire coloring, with a slightly altered eggnog at ready.
The source image for Environ 53 was a magical frozen day at the end of our favorite trail to the Sandy River.
I was apparently so engrossed in my work that I didn't notice I had messed up a setting and did not have the entire Mirror in front of me.
That's okay. I like it anyway.

Environ 53 art and design collection
The Environs Series is an exploration of the images hidden just beyond sight in the beauty of the environments we walk through. The Environs were birthed in the confluence of The Mirror Project and The Color Project... the Mirrors are shifted to grayscale, printed with archival inks on matte art paper, then hand-colored with woodstains and inks.

Artist strata recommendation: I have printed this Series on smooth fine art paper, metal, and canvas. They're all great, so take your pick.
If you are choosing the fine art paper, please accept my strongest recommendation to choose the styrene mount option. It will give you a beautifully mounted print ready for a standard size frame (or save you the mounting cost at the framers'), for an extremely minimal additional cost.
The canvas sheet comes already mounted on an canvas board.
If choosing canvas wrap to hang unframed, I recommend 1-1/2"-2-1/2" options and black sides. If framing in a retail frame, choose the sheet canvas on canvas board style. It's tough to find a frame that will accept the depth of even the 3/4" canvas.
